The Best Laid Plans Build The Weakest Foundations

What would you do if you couldn't fail? I read those words on a shirt the other day and thought about what they meant and it pissed me off. That alone right there is the problem we are having in America. People need to realize and be taught that failure is a big part of life. I think too many kids these days grow up with the notion that everything they touch should turn to gold and when it doesn't it is society's problem and not theirs. Big mistake. All that does is give us the current state of affairs we find ourselves in. Not Good. It would be ridiculous to think about all the things you would do if you couldn't fail because then anyone can do anything they wanted. The world needs more than astronauts and fire fighters to keep on spinning. Failure breeds success. You may have wanted something so badly in your life and never attained it, but if you went as hard as you can after it then you can't hang your head. You learned the value of risk taking and hard work and that is something that a school book or a professor cannot teach you. Why I think people fear failure is that they don't learn from it. Being stagnant is a death wish. That's why I have that lightbulb in there. Thomas Edison failed so many times before he got it right. Ok ok, I know that example is fucked out and over used but it is a good way to put it. All I'm saying is that in my worst moments when I have failed miserably is usually when I can look back and realize that's when I grew. I watch too many people settle for safety in life and it isn't really living. If I never failed than I would never be where I am today. If you never take a chance in this life you never really experience things. Even if you never attained your goal, but you took the risk of getting there you are far better off than the person who just never went for it at all. Find reasons not to be an idiot...
